CAPÍTULO 12 - EVENTOS ADVERSOS RELACIONADOS A SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE NO CENTRO CIRÚRGICO

Objetivo: Identificar quais os Eventos Adversos relacionados a segurança do paciente no centro cirúrgico. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Foi possível assim estruturar a seguinte pergunta norteadora: “Quais os Eventos Adversos relacionados a segurança do paciente no centro cirúrgico? ” Foi feito um levantamento através da biblioteca eletrônica sendo a Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), sendo selecionada as seguintes bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) e Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE). Com isso, utilizou-se os descritores consultados nos Descritores em Ciência e Saúde (DeCS), no mês de outubro de 2023, sendo: “Evento Adverso”, “Centro Cirúrgico” e “Segurança do paciente”, utilizando o operador booleando AND entre os descritores quando combinados. Após a aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade foram utilizados oito artigos selecionados ao total. Resultados e Discussão: Os Eventos Adversos grave, foram evidenciados lesão de órgãos digestórios durante cirurgias laparoscópicas como estômago, jejuno e fígado trazendo impactos relevantes a vida do paciente causando um aumento do tempo de internação com a necessidade posterior de ileostomia. A utilização de variados instrumentos na realização de cirurgias laparoscópicas pode causar na paciente perfuração de algum órgão, devido à realização também de manobras sem visualização direta do cirurgião. Conclusão: Dessa forma, é perceptível que o estudo selecionou os principais eventos adversos relacionados a segurança do paciente no Centro Cirúrgico podendo ser citados a presença de lesões de órgãos, intervenção no paciente errado, sítio cirúrgico incorreto, hemorragias e eventos adversos no controle de fluídos.

ABSTRACT:
Objective: To identify which Adverse Events are related to patient safety in the surgical center. Methodology: This is an integrative review of the literature. It was thus possible to structure the following guiding question: “What are the Adverse Events related to patient safety in the surgical center?”. A survey was carried out through the electronic library, the Virtual Health Library (VHL), and the following databases were selected: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE). With this, we used the descriptors consulted in the Science and Health Descriptors (DeCS), in the month of October 2023, being: “Adverse Event”, “Surgical Center” and “Patient Safety”, using the boolean operator AND between the descriptors when combined. After applying the eligibility criteria, eight selected articles were used in total. Results and Discussion: Severe Adverse Events were evidenced by damage to digestive organs during laparoscopic surgeries such as the stomach, jejunum and liver, bringing relevant impacts to the patient' s life, causing an increase in hospitalization time with the subsequent need for ileostomy. The use of various instruments when performing laparoscopic surgeries can cause the patient to perforate an organ, due to maneuvers being performed without direct visualization by the surgeon. Conclusion: Therefore, it is noticeable that the study selected the main adverse events related to patient safety in the Surgical Center, including the presence of organ injuries, intervention on the wrong patient, incorrect surgical site, hemorrhages and adverse events in fluid control.
