CAPÍTULO 60 - PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DAS INTERNAÇÕES E ÓBITOS CAUSADOS PELA DENGUE, NA BAHIA

Objetivo: Analisar os casos de internação e óbitos decorrentes da dengue, na Bahia, correlacionando com os achados na literatura. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo epidemiológico, do tipo ecológico, que buscou analisar as internações e os óbitos decorrentes da Dengue, na Bahia, no período entre janeiro de 2020 a janeiro de 2024 entre todas as faixas etárias. Por se basear em dados de domínio público esse trabalho não foi submetido ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Resultados e Discussão: Após análise dos dados obtidos, fica evidente que o estado da Bahia enfrenta uma epidemia de Dengue, apresentando uma média de casos de internação de 16, 7% por ano. Um dado que chama bastante atenção é que em janeiro de 2024 o número de casos já chega a 1,17% (n=81), ou seja, em apenas um mês o estado já teve quase o valor total de alguns anos inteiros. Quando analisados os óbitos decorrentes de casos de dengue entre os anos de 2019 a 2023 houve um total de 43 casos, sendo que até janeiro de 2024 não havia nenhum registro. Considerações Finais: No estado da Bahia, no período entre 2020 a 2024 foi evidenciado uma epidemia por dengue, com altas taxas de internação e óbitos decorrentes de agravo por esta patologia. Estes dados correlacionam-se com os achados na literatura que demonstram a dengue com alta incidência por todo país.

ABSTRACT:
Objective: To analyze cases of hospitalization and deaths resulting from dengue in Bahia, correlating with findings in the literature. Methodology: This is a descriptive, ecological, epidemiological study that sought to analyze hospitalizations and deaths resulting from Dengue, in Bahia, in the period between January 2020 and January 2024 among all age groups. As it is based on public domain data, this work was not submitted to the Research Ethics Committee. Results and Discussion: After analyzing the data obtained, it is evident that the state of Bahia is facing an epidemic of Dengue, with an average number of hospitalization cases of 16.7% per year. One fact that draws a lot of attention is that in January 2024 the number of cases already reached 1.17% (n=81), that is, in just one month the state had almost the total amount of a few entire years. When analyzing deaths resulting from dengue cases between 2019 and 2023, there was a total of 43 cases, and until January 2024 there were no records. Final Considerations: In the state of Bahia, in the period between 2020 and 2024, a dengue epidemic was evident, with high rates of hospitalization and deaths resulting from this disease. These data correlate with findings in the literature that demonstrate dengue with a high incidence throughout the country.
